Quick Support

1. Getting Started

  1. Install PulseTrackr on your iPhone.
  2. Open the app and allow location access if you want nearby reports and watch-area alerts.
  3. Use the Map and Feed tabs to see active reports near you.
  4. Use Settings to adjust your watch radius, urgent alerts, community notices, and report-location privacy.
  5. Add trusted contacts before travel if you want SOS alerts available.

2. Permissions

  • Location: Used to show nearby reports, submit reports, calculate distance, and share exact location during SOS.
  • Contacts: Used only when you choose to import a trusted contact for SOS alerts.
  • Microphone: Used only when you record an optional voice note for an incident report.
  • Photos: Used only when you choose an optional photo for an incident report.

3. Map and Feed Help

  • Change your watch radius in Settings if the feed is too broad or too narrow.
  • Urgent alerts include high-risk security, fire, medical, and other severe reports.
  • Community notices include traffic, utility, weather, structure, and local-awareness reports.
  • If no location is available, the map may show a default overview until location is granted.

4. Reporting Help

  1. Open the Report tab.
  2. Add a short title, neighborhood or landmark, and description.
  3. Confirm whether the incident is happening now or already happened.
  4. Optionally attach a photo or voice note.
  5. Review or change the suggested classification.
  6. Tap Report now.

If the Hide exact report location setting is on, the public map pin is moved to a nearby approximate area. The exact reporting coordinate may still be used privately for backend validation and safety workflows.

5. SOS Help

  • Add at least one trusted contact before you need SOS.
  • Use contacts who know they may receive PulseTrackr SOS location alerts from you.
  • When SOS is active, PulseTrackr can share your last known location, recent route, direction of travel, and live updates with selected trusted contacts.
  • PulseTrackr does not automatically contact police, ambulance, fire, or other emergency services. If you are in immediate danger, call local emergency services directly.

6. Troubleshooting

Reports are not loading

Check your connection, confirm location access is enabled, and reduce or increase the watch radius in Settings.

Report submission fails

Check your connection and try again. Large evidence files may take longer to upload.

SOS contacts are not notified

Confirm the contact has a valid phone number or email address, is marked active, and uses at least one delivery channel. Delivery also depends on configured SMS, phone, or email providers.

Location is inaccurate

Open iOS Settings and confirm PulseTrackr has Location access. If Precise Location is off, watch-area and SOS accuracy may be reduced.

7. Frequently Asked Questions

Does PulseTrackr replace emergency services?

No. PulseTrackr is a community safety and trusted-contact alert app. It does not dispatch official emergency services.

Can I submit a report without evidence?

Yes. A text report with a valid location is enough. Photo and voice evidence are optional.

Can other users see my exact location?

Public report pins can be approximate when Hide exact report location is enabled. Exact SOS location is shared only after SOS activation with trusted contacts and authorized backend workflows.

Can I use the app without contacts permission?

Yes. Contacts permission is only needed if you import a trusted contact. You can also add contact details manually.
