1. Overview
Park Memory Hub is a group trip app for families and friends. Users create or join a circle, then share memories, plans, and optional location updates through iCloud and CloudKit.
Current App Model
- SwiftUI app for iPhone
- CloudKit-based sync
- No Firebase dependency in the current release
- No advertising, no external payments, and no subscriptions in the current app
2. Core Functionality
- Memories: Create memories with captions, tags, attached photos, and optional locations
- Planner: Create plans, share them with the whole circle, selected members, or only the creator
- Radar: Share your location with your circle and open member coordinates in Apple Maps
- Profile: Set your name and profile image, invite members, join circles, sync with iCloud, or leave a circle
3. User-Generated Content
Park Memory Hub includes user-generated content such as shared photos, captions, notes, and location-tagged memories.
- Content is intended for private circle sharing, not for public feeds.
- Users control which circle receives shared content.
- Location sharing is optional and controlled by each member on their own device.
4. Privacy and Permissions
- Photos permission: Used only when a user selects photos for a memory.
- Location permission: Used only for current-location tagging or radar sharing when requested.
- App privacy: The app's public privacy policy is available at the Park Memory Hub privacy document.
5. CloudKit and Sync
The current app uses Apple's CloudKit service for shared sync between circle members.
- Devices can manually trigger iCloud sync if updates appear delayed.
- Apps distributed through the App Store use the production CloudKit environment.
- Shared memories, planner updates, and optional radar updates depend on the app's CloudKit container.
6. Business Model
Park Memory Hub is currently a free app with no in-app purchases, subscriptions, or third-party advertising.
