Park Memory Hub Privacy Policy

How Park Memory Hub stores, shares, and protects memories, plans, and optional location updates.

Last updated: April 26, 2026 Version 2.0

1. Overview

Park Memory Hub helps families and friends collect trip memories, coordinate plans, and optionally share location updates with the members of their circle.

The app is designed to use on-device storage together with Apple's iCloud and CloudKit services for sync and sharing.

Core Privacy Principles

  • Sharing is limited to the circle you create or join.
  • Location sharing is optional and controlled per device.
  • Memories, plans, and circle updates are stored locally and may be synchronized through iCloud when shared.
  • There is no Firebase dependency in the current Park Memory Hub app.

2. Information We Handle

Park Memory Hub may handle the following information when you choose to use related features:

  • Profile information, such as your display name and profile photo
  • Circle information, such as your circle name and circle code
  • Memories you create, including captions, tags, attached photos, and optional memory locations
  • Planner items you create, including titles, notes, times, places, votes, and sharing visibility
  • Live or recent location information, only when you enable location sharing or request your current location
  • Basic app identifiers needed to distinguish devices and circle members

3. How Information Is Used

App Experience

  • Show your profile and circle membership
  • Save memories and plans on your device
  • Display shared content from your circle

Sync and Sharing

  • Synchronize shared memories, plans, and circle updates through iCloud
  • Let circle members view shared plans and optional location updates
  • Keep each device aligned with the circle it has joined

4. Photos and Memories

When you select photos for a memory, the app reads the selected photo data from your photo library with your permission.

Photos attached to memories are stored locally on your device. If you share a memory with your circle, the memory content and attached media may also be uploaded through Apple's CloudKit service so the people in your circle can access that shared memory on their devices.

5. Location Data

Location access is optional.

  • You can request your current location when creating a memory or planner item.
  • You can turn location sharing on or off for radar.
  • If you do not enable these features, the app does not need live location for normal use.

6. iCloud and CloudKit

Shared circle data is synchronized using Apple's iCloud and CloudKit services.

Because Park Memory Hub currently uses CloudKit to share circle updates between people, shared content may be stored in Apple's cloud infrastructure to support syncing between devices and circle members.

Apple may process data as needed to provide its cloud services. Please also review Apple's privacy materials for iCloud and CloudKit.

7. Sharing Controls

  • Memories can remain only on your device until you share them in the app.
  • Planner items can be shared with your whole circle, selected members, or only yourself.
  • Location sharing can be turned on or off in the app.
  • You can leave a circle and move this device into a new one.

8. Data Retention

Local app data stays on your device until you remove it, delete the app, or overwrite it through normal app use.

Shared circle data synchronized through CloudKit may remain available to circle members who already have access to that circle's shared content until that shared content is deleted from the circle records.

9. Children

Park Memory Hub is not intended to collect personal information from children without the involvement of a parent, guardian, or family organizer.
